The purpose of the CPC is to advance the local design and construction industry in the Memphis Metropolitan Area. The focus is to actively increase the awareness of public and private sector leaders of the design and construction capabilities of local firms, and to also develop solutions to issues that are of interest to the industry.
The CPC meets on an “as needed” basis when issues arise that are critical to the design and construction industry. There are four committees that focus on such important issues as: Economic Development; Minority Business Development; Codes, Marketing/Communication. Members of each committee are offered an opportunity to shape public policy in these areas and to help create programs to benefit the membership.
The CPC members are offered a range of benefits including the following:
- Referrals of potential clients by Chamber and other members
- Participation on committees that shape new public policy, codes, regulations, etc. that affect the industry
- Network with other industry professionals to keep abreast of topics and issues of importance
