1p.m., University of Memphis Holiday Inn. This is a member’s only event and is $25.

 ·     May 22, 2007: Chamber Lunch & Learn, “There’s a FedEx for That!” The speaker will be Tiffani H. Wilson, Senior Account Executive, FedEx Corporate Services, 11:30 a.m.-1p.m., Memphis Regional Chamber Offices. This event is free to member and non-members.  Space is limited.

·      May 23, 2007:  Breakfast Forum, Keynote Speaker: TN Commissioner of Economic and Community Development Matt Kisber; Topic: Business Appreciation Day, 7:30 -
9 a.m., Hilton Memphis, $20 for members and $30 for non-members.

·      May 24, 2007: Metro Business Council Reception, 5:30 -7:30 p.m., Park It Here, Free for 1st four employees of a member business, $10 for each additional employee, $20 for non-members. Come hear Park It Here Owner, Johanna Ellis, share about how she became a successful business owner.   

·      June 7, 2007: Chamber Lunch & Learn, Presented by Glankler Brown PLLC, Featured topic: Employment Law, 11:30 a.m. - 1p.m., Memphis Regional Chamber Offices. This event is free to member and non-members.  Space is limited.

·      June 13, 2007 Metro Mixer, Memphis Zoo  5:30 - 7:30 p.m., Free for first four employees of a member business, $10 for each additional employee, $20 for non-members. 


NAWBO

NAWBO Membership Meeting
    
   
On Tuesday, June 12, NAWBO will hold its monthly Membership Meeting.  The meeting will discuss the upcoming conference.      $300 per player (sponsorships are available, call 525-6512 for more information).  The proceeds from this event support the Robert R. Church Sr. Scholarship Fund, which provides scholarships for worthy students to become our future leaders and entrepreneurs! 

     The fund is managed by the Community Foundation of Greater Memphis.

     This is a networking event for the purpose of matching corporate decision makers with minority/women businesses.  Corporate players may be matched with minority/women business players.


Debt & Financial Management Seminar

     This is a must-attend seminar!  You will learn how to improve your financial situation by restructuring your debt, obtaining trade credit, and using your business to obtain credit.

     The Black Business Association of Memphis will hold its monthly General Membership Meeting on Thursday May 24, 2007 at 6:00p.m.  The meeting will be held at the Renaissance Business Center, 555 Beale Street in downtown Memphis.
