Logan Meeks
A2H - partner, vice president
by JON SPARKS
When Logan was in Memphis in the 1990s, he thought the grass was greener out west.

"It didn't take long to realize there was so much that Memphis had to offer that I had taken for granted," he said. "A lot of places I lived in didn't come close to the diversity of people, races, and religions. Memphis has big city attributes in cultural aspects, like theater, arts and music, but also the kind of place where one person can make a difference. If you stick your neck out and are as passionate about what you're doing, you have an opportunity to do that."

Logan is an engineer in the architectural/engineering firm Askew Hargraves Harcourt & Associates, Inc. (A2H). To him, the art of his science is that he makes an impact on people on a dayto-day basis. "I'm fortunate in that I work on a lot of projects that improve the quality of life for people — bridges, places of worship, schools."

While his firm's offices are in Lakeland, Logan is a committed Downtowner. "I live on Mud Island. I'm prone to staying around the downtown area." He likes the River Inn and River Terrace — something with a view. And if it's not of the river, he says he likes Midtown and "anywhere with a patio, like Bosco's and in Cooper-Young."
