Chamber Events & Programming
The Greater Memphis Chamber offers many opportunities for networking throughout the year. These events range in focus, including monthly membership meetings, industry-focused meetings, athletic events, etc. Please see the following breakdown for programming descriptions. Visit our Calendar of Events for more information on upcoming Chamber events.
The largest business event of the year, more than 1,000 Memphis business and community leaders attend this event each year. This event includes special presentations that range from the University of Memphis coaching teams to local artists and musicians to nationally recognized celebrities from the area. The Chairman of the Board of Directors also provides an overview of accomplishments for the year and highlights the vision for the next year.
The Chairman’s Circle will be reclaiming the role “Voice of Business” and changing the culture of our community. This is not a board of directors. This is a “think tank” with the resources, the clout and the responsibility to make things happen.
The Annual Chamber Golf Tournament is played on Memphis’ finest golf course, Spring Creek Ranch. Benefits include lunch, cart and green fees, player bag, complimentary beverages on the course, and an awards reception following the tournament. The number of participating teams is limited to 28.
Hob Nob is a chance for Chamber members and prospective members to meet and speak one-on-one with elected officials and candidates currently seeking office, right before early voting begins.
In The Mix
These are a great way to meet and connect with fellow members and non-members alike. There are approximately 200 to 300 people in attendance at each one of these networking mixers.
The International Business Council brings together businesses interested in facilitating the growth of international trade and foreign direct investment in Memphis; educating Memphis businesses in conducting business on an international basis; driving economic development through interaction with foreign organizations; and accomplishing this with the help of Memphians with a keen understanding of international business. There are two evening receptions and an educational series presented by the International Business Council each year.
Lunch In The Know
The Lunch In the Know program features presentations from local business leaders who address important issues related to small business success. These programs also provide time for networking with other business executives and a complimentary lunch.
This is an annual race through downtown Memphis that is unlike any other race in the city. This is a great way to enjoy a Saturday morning in the city. Move It Memphis is also an excellent opportunity to increase your business exposure and encourage your employees to get healthy by participating in the Corporate Challenge.
Redbirds Club Suite
The Memphis Chamber Redbirds Club Suite can be leased by Chamber members and non-members, and is a great way to entertain clients and reward employees.
Red Carpet Tour
Every year, the Chamber invites national site selectors, media and economic development consultants to Memphis for a Red Carpet Tour. This special, invitation-only, two-day event is part of our proactive agenda to showcase Memphis’ assets in the manufacturing, logistics and bioscience sectors. Presentations are given by top Memphis business leaders as well as elected officials in Memphis, Shelby County and the State of Tennessee. The goal is to have these "red carpet" attendees leave Memphis with a better understanding of Memphis’ capabilities and strengths, because your Chamber at work knows that promoting these strengths is vital to Memphis’ economic development strategy.
This quarterly breakfast series highlights key business leaders from the logistics industry. More than 150 business professionals from the logistics industry attend these programs. To view details and presentations from previous meetings, click here.
The Small Business Council programming is focused on the needs of companies with 100 or fewer employees in the Memphis area. Programming includes educational breakfast meetings, after-hours networking receptions and specialized seminars.
Members of this young professionals group will participate meaningfully in shaping the policies and developing the strategies that will grow our Memphis economy, and by doing so, will secure their own financial future in this community.
